Weather was certainly interesting this year, we had some strong winds that forced all paddlers to dig deep. Thankfully, there was a little bit of downwind on the homestretch.
Jason Bennett defended his 2015 title with another win this year finishing in a time of 1:39:06.
Shannon Bell was the fastest female paddler this year completing the 14km course in a time of 1:51:58
Paul Torriero and Sally Wallick were the fastest around the short course.

PRIZE MONEY
We are excited to have a cash purse of $2500 for this year's race, all thanks to Deep Cove Kayak and Deep Cove Outdoors. We have done our best to distribute the prizing to a few different categories and keep prizing equal between Men and Women's divisions. We are also excited to announce cash prizing for the Short Course and for Junior Paddlers.

Registration for the 6th Annual Board the Fjord SUP race is now open.
